Year-Round Programming for Adults, Young Artists, and Teachers

Pay-As-You-Go Life Drawing

Join us Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm for facilitated life drawing sessions. Includes drawing from a live nude model, anyone under 18 years old must bring a signed permission form (found here).

Each summer we invite students entering grades 10-12 to join us for a two or four-week immersive art program. Students will study in one area of focus, utilize our state-of-the-art facilities, create portfolio pieces, and earn college credit, all while experiencing life at a college of art and design.

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

CIA is the Greater Cleveland Regional Affiliate for this national art and writing competition. Students from Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga counties will submit their work to be reviewed by a panel of judges, culminating in a final exhibition and the opportunity to receive regional and national awards and recognition.

Summer Teacher Residency

During this ten-day intensive, CIA brings together a diverse group of dedicated art educators with the shared goal of reinvigorating their creative and teaching practices. Residents from across the country will create a new body of work, participate in professional development seminars, and showcase in a culminating exhibition.

Teacher Workshops

Creative cross-curricular, one-day workshops for K-12 instructors in all subjects. Reconnect with your artistic side and develop new techniques and perspectives that you can take back to the classroom. Earn CEUs or one graduate workshop credit, network with other educators, and enhance your skills in digital arts, craft, design, and fine arts.
