Student

Standard turnaround times for CIA students is 24 hours. However, depending on the time of year and workloads, turnarounds times will vary. All efforts will be made to produce student work in the timeliest manner possible and, in some instances, it may be possible to turnaround orders sooner than 24 hours.

Non-Student

Standard turnaround times for non-CIA student orders is 3-5 business days. In the event that deadlines require rushed delivery, we are happy to accommodate those requests whenever possible. Such requests will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and, when applicable, a rush fee will be assessed according to the formulas below.

 

2 day turnaround = +25% additional fee

Next day turnaround = +35% additional fee

Order Placement

Orders can be placed online in the Digital Output Center Services section.

 

We are happy to place orders on behalf of requesting parties over the phone or in person. Please be aware that a $5 administrative fee will be assessed to all orders which are not entered online by the requesting party.

Consultation

We are happy to meet with all customers to provide basic information and direction regarding the production of work free of charge up to 20 minutes. Beyond that, we are able to provide consultation services at our hourly rate of $82.50 per hour (prorated per minute).

 

(Consultation fees do not apply to CIA students, faculty or staff)

CIA Students

Current CIA students are charged at the student rate. Payment is made using PaperCut print accounts and a $20 credit is provided per student, per semester. All printed student work will be charged to said accounts. If students need to deposit additional funds to their accounts, they can do so through the PaperCut web application here. Please be aware that student accounts can only be accessed when connected to a CIA wireless or wifi network.

External Customers

External customers are charged at the non-student rate and payment is due upon pickup. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) is the preferred method of payment. American Express is not accepted. Checks are also accepted as well as cash. However, we do not have the ability to provide change. So, if paying with cash, customers are kindly asked to do so in exact change.

CIA Faculty & Staff

CIA Faculty and Staff are charged at the student rate. Payment is due upon pickup. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) is the preferred method of payment. American Express is not accepted. Checks are also accepted as well as cash. However, we do not have the ability to provide change. So, if paying with cash, customers are kindly asked to do so in exact change.

CIA Alumni

CIA alumni are charged at the non-student rate with a 20% alumni discount. Payment is due upon pickup of work. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) is the preferred method of payment. American Express is not accepted. Checks are also accepted as well as cash. However, we do not have the ability to provide change. So, if paying with cash, customers are kindly asked to do so in exact change.

Non-CIA Students

Non-CIA student patrons are charged at the non-student rate with a 20% educational discount. Non-CIA students will be asked to show a valid/current student ID and to provide payment upon pickup of work. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) is the preferred method of payment. American Express is not accepted. Checks are also accepted as well as cash. However, we do not have the ability to provide change. So, if paying with cash, customers are kindly asked to do so in exact change.

Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us here at the Digital Output Center. If a patron is dissatisfied with the quality of service and/or product, it is our genuine desire to make it right and ensure any such issues do not arise in the future.

CIA Student Patrons

Refunds to print accounts can be made through Papercut in the event of an error. For more information on this process, click here.

 

Unused funds added to print accounts by students with a credit card, cash or check may be refunded by emailing Josh Werling, the Digital Output Center Manager, within 30 days of purchase.

 

Non-CIA Student Patrons 

It is recommended that customers inspect their jobs upon pickup. If you are unsatisfied with you order, please contact Josh Werling, the Digital Output Center Manager, within 30 days of receipt to discuss a reprint or other resolution.

While we take every precaution for the safekeeping and handling of all print, film, digital file, negative, transparency and original artwork, submitting these materials for capture, printing, mounting, laminating, or other handling constitutes an AGREEMENT by you that any damage or loss by our company, subsidiary, or agents for any reason, including, without limitation, damage or loss due to unpredictable defects in materials, or even due to the negligence or other fault of our company, subsidiary, or agents, will entitle you only to replacement with a like amount of unexposed film and processing, or, in the case of mounting, another print, when possible, and only when initially produced by us. Except for such replacement, the acceptance by our company, subsidiary, and/or agents of the film, print, slide, negative, transparency or artwork is without other warranty or liability, and recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded. Should any material submitted involve high value the onus is upon the client to appropriately insure it. We reserve the right to refuse to accept originals without a signed release stating the above.

Digital Files

The Digital Output does not provide digital storage services. The Digital Output Center typically keeps digital images on file for one year but we do not backup that data so, in in the event of data loss, the Digital Output Center is not responsible for any lost files 24 hours after providing those files to the requesting party. Patrons are responsible for permanently storing and archiving their files.

Original Artwork & Provided Media

The Digital Output Center will provide confirmation, via email, of receipt of original artwork and/or print media provided by the client.The Digital Output Center is not responsible for any materials left in house for more than 30 days after receipt, unless otherwise arranged and verified with management, or work left in house more than 30 days after job completion. Any such work may be considered abandoned by the client.

It is the responsibility of the requesting party to acquire any and all necessary permissions to print or reproduce work. The DOC reserves the right to refuse service if there are suspected copyright infringement issues.
