🎓 CSU-CIA Scholarship Recipients

CSU-CIA scholarship recipients refer to recent graduates of Cleveland State University who have applied to and been accepted into the CSU-CIA Scholarship Program. These students spend a year at CIA to further develop their artistic skills. 

  • REQUIRED:
    1. Submit Required Documents: Enrollment Registration Form, Course Selection form, and unofficial CSU transcript to registrar@cia.edu.
    2. Activating CIA Student Account: Once all documents are received, the Registrar's Office will work with the IT team to provide CIA student account information via email, including the login name, temporary password, and CIA email address. How to Activate CIA student account.
    3. Course Registration: After student accounts are created and activated, CSU-CIA students are ready to register for courses. The CIA Academic Advising team will reach out to schedule a meeting to assist students with registration for the new semester. 
    4. CIA ID Card: All students must have an activated CIA ID to access the building, labs, and library. CIA IDs are printed on the Case Western Reserve campus in Access Center. All new CSU-CIA students should stop by the Registrar's Office at CIA (Suite 120) to provide the necessary documents before the semester starts. 
    5. CIA Emergency Alert Sign-Up: CIA's emergency notification system enables the Institute to send urgent news to your cell phone, email and voicemail. Manage CIA Emergency Alert preferences
    6. Billing & Medical Insurance: All part-time and full-time students are required to pay medical insurance unless a waiver is submitted. Additional payments, including medical insurance and other out-of-pocket costs, are due prior to the first day of classes. For deadlines to submit the 2026–2027 medical insurance waiver form or questions about the payments, please contact the Student Accounts office at studentaccounts@cia.edu or 216-421-7318. Waiver Form. 
  • RESOURCES:
    • Parking Pass or Bus Pass: You can request & pay for a parking pass in here. Full-time students may email Student Life at studentlife@cia.edu to inquire about a buss pass after course registration is complete. Please note that bus passes are only available for full-time (min 12 credits) students.  
    • CSU-CIA Scholarship Information Document (2026-2027)
    • Text Message Opt-in: This form is required for students to receive text messages related to academic deadlines & requirements, student services & opportunities, administrative updates & reminders, and non-emergency campus notifications. 

 

🎓 Cross-Registration Students

Cross-registration students refer to matriculated, full-time students from CIA’s partner institutions—Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland State University, John Carroll University, and Cuyahoga Community College (all campuses)—who have already completed the cross-registration process through their home college or university. These students are enrolled in one CIA course as part of their full-time course load at their home institution.

    • CIA ID Card (except for CWRU students): All students must have an activated CIA ID to access the building, labs, and library. 🎓 Audit

Auditors are adult learners who attend CIA courses without earning academic credit. Auditors participate in class activities and coursework as permitted by the instructor but do not receive grades or academic credit.
