Pre-College
Each summer we invite students entering grades 10-12 to join us for a two or four-week immersive art program. Students will study in one area of focus, utilize our state-of-the-art facilities, create portfolio pieces, and earn college credit, all while experiencing life at a college of art and design.
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
CIA is the Greater Cleveland Regional Affiliate for this national art and writing competition. Students from Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga counties will submit their work to be reviewed by a panel of judges, culminating in a final exhibition and the opportunity to receive regional and national awards and recognition.
Summer Teacher Residency
The College will not be offering a Summer Teacher Residency in 2024. We've decided to take a year to re-evaluate the program and to explore how we can better support educators working with the next generation of artists and designers. During this ten-day intensive, CIA brings together a diverse group of dedicated art educators with the shared goal of reinvigorating their creative and teaching practices. Residents from across the country will create a new body of work, participate in professional development seminars, and showcase in a culminating exhibition.
Teacher Workshops
We offer various workshops and seminars dedication to teachers expanding their own creative skills along with gaining resources to take back to the classroom.
