As a measure to increase the protection of CIA’s information systems and the data they contain, a new password policy is being implemented for all employees. All employees will be required to change their password every 180 days. This change will be activated the evening of July 24th 2019.  You will need to change your password before this time, as any password that is older than 60 days old will immediately expire and you will not be able to login to CIA resources until this expired password is changed.  If you have not changed your password since the beginning of May, it will need to be changed.

In order to protect yourself as well as CIA, you need to use a password that is unique to CIA. One of the most common ways for employees to have their accounts compromised is to use the same password across multiple systems, which when compromised, leaves CIA systems vulnerable.
