The mission of The Community Outreach Team (COT) is to help CIA students connect to their community on campus, the greater Cleveland community, and the world, by giving back to others in need. There are 4 components to our team: community service events, on-campus programs, Moments of Gratitude (MOG) around campus, and fundraising. COT is led by a group of student leaders who are passionate about helping others. Interested in joining COT?

This past weekend we headed on over to Hope Lodge once again for our first outreach opportunity of the year! COT covered their windows in fall leaves, pumpkins, and even a cute scarecrow!
Even though it is currently summer break, some of our team (including a few of our retired members) made our way to Hope Lodge once again! This time we started fresh and went for a cozy home feel since many of their residents are far from home.

For our MOG (Moment of Gratitude) this month, we have taken inspiration from The Kindness Rocks Project! COT has painted rocks and hidden them around CIA during finals week. When our students find the rocks they can rehide them in their hometown or contin...
COT made their way back to Hope Lodge to freshen up the windows. We were able to reuse some of the previously painted stems and grass to turn it into a beautiful blooming garden with spring just around the corner!
For Valentines Day COT walked down the street to Hope Lodge to bring some fun art into their home. We filled their windows with a garden of heart-shaped flowers and butterflies that made the residents smile!
