What are the DOC’s hours?

Public hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. Students can access the DOC Monday–Friday: 9am–9pm. The DOC color lab and printer are open to current students, faculty and staff during all posted building hours. For more information regarding hours, click here.

Where is the Digital Output Center located?

Do I need an appointment to use the DOC?

Appointments are recommended but not required. Click here to schedule an appointment.

What services does the DOC provide?

The DOC specializes in sheet-fed, wide-format + dye-sublimation printing, vinyl cutting and other post-production finishing services such as dry mounting but does not provide framing service. Click here for more information.

Who can use the DOC?

The DOC is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public during designated hours. The DOC color lab and printer are open to current students, faculty and staff during all posted building hours.

How do I pay for services?

Current CIA students are charged using print accounts. Students are credited $20 per semester and can deposit additional funds online (must be connected to a CIA network). Click here to sign-in for access to student print accounts. Credit card is the preferred payment method and orders must be paid in full at the time of pickup of printed/original work.

What is the pickup procedure?

There is free, 15-minute parking in Lot 73 for brief pick-ups and metered parking on 117th St. for longer visits. Click herefor more information regarding parking and pick-up.

Can I place orders online?

Yes — online is the preferred method to place all wide-format and dye-sublimation orders. CIA faculty and staff can also place orders for larger volume sheet-fed printing on the DOC services page here.

What types of projects can the DOC help with?

Fine art prints, wall &+ indoor specialty films, posters, outdoor banners + specialty films, apparel printing, decals, stickers, exhibition graphics and printing. For more information on services click here.
