PRINT SERVICES

 

Wide Format Printing + Cutting

High-resolution, photo quality, archival (aka Giclee) + outdoor inkjet printing for a wide variety of fine art and commercial uses.

Dye-Sublimation Printing

Heat transfer technology for vibrant prints on various poly-based/coated substrates.

Sheet Fed Printing (Faculty + Staff Only)

Commercial, press-level sheet-fed printing with optional full-bleed, creasing and folding up to 12x18 on text or card weight paper. This service is available to CIA employees or by special order to students and external patrons. Please contact Josh Werling or Javier Maldonado for details.

OTHER SERVICES

 

Image Capture, Prepress/Post-Edit + Other Services

The DOC offers services for high-resolution capture of 2D images, image correction/optimization and some basic formatting (the DOC does not offer full-service design solutions). Please contact Josh Werling or Javier Maldonado for details.

 

Finishing Services

Finishing services include trimming, mounting, overlaminate (non-encapsulated), grommets, rounded corners, basic hanging solutions, and other post-production tasks (the DOC does not provide full-service framing services). Please contact Josh Werling or Javier Maldonado for details.

Production Equipment

  • Wide Format Inkjet Printers
    • Water and solvent-based pigment printing up to 44" wide on water-base and 52" wide on solvent-base
  • Dye Sublimation Printer
    • Dye-base transfer media printing up to 24” wide
  • Vinyl Cutter
    • 24” adhesive vinyl films for “kiss” cut (does not cut through release liner backing). Contour cut function available for printed vinyl decals
  • Heat Press
    • 16x20 platen
  • ColorPress
    • Press level color laser printing on sheets up to 12x18 on text or card weight paper
    • This is a self-service for CIA, students, faculty + staff; Also available via special order to students and other patrons, please contact Josh Werling or Javier Maldonado for details
  • Wide Format Laminator
    • 60” roll feed laminator with heat assist

 

 

Post/Pre-Production Areas + Equipment

Post/pre-production areas and equipment are accessible to and available for use by CIA students, faculty and staff.
